College Database System using ERD with SQL
Redesigned a Queens College class data table by leading a team of five in converting it into an Entity Relationship Diagram (ERD) and optimizing its structure across multiple tables for improved navigation. Developed complex SQL scripts to create, manipulate, and query the database while ensuring high performance and data integrity. Managed project documentation and team coordination via Discord, driving efficient collaboration and timely completion of milestones to deliver a robust academic database system.
NYC Median Household Income Analysis
Examined NYC zip code income trends from 2017-2022 using American Community Survey data, focusing on demographic disparities and citywide changes. Collected, cleaned, and merged Census Bureau datasets to enable detailed comparisons across race and zip code. Created visualizations with R (ggplot2, dplyr) to highlight income trends, providing insights into economic shifts across NYC’s five boroughs.
Built an interactive air quality prediction dashboard with Streamlit, featuring real-time visualizations and state-specific AQI forecasts. Integrated Tableau Public for engaging, interactive maps and charts to visualize air quality trends. Implemented a Random Forest Model trained on a 7-year dataset (2016–2023), factoring in population growth and vehicle data to deliver highly accurate AQI predictions.
Collaborated with a team to develop a web application centralizing essential needs resources across NYC and CUNY using Streamlit and Python. Designed an interactive questionnaire that guides students to relevant support services, building tailored pathways for child care, career development, and health & wellness. Led the hackathon team by coordinating meetings, ensuring steady progress, and providing instruction on Streamlit implementation.
